The first match of the Series began on September 20 2022 in Mohali in Punjab at 7.00 pm the Australian team had won the toss and chose to field first putting India into the batting which India had an ok start as they lost 2 wickets for 35 runs in 4.5 overs after that the innings were built by KL Rahul and Surya Kumar Yadav and then it was all Hardik Pandya who scored 71 not out of 30 deliveries because of which India reached a good score of 208 for 6 in their allotted 20 overs. Then came the innings of Australia who chased down the target in 19.2 overs. Australia was helped to win the match by the innings of Green and Mathew Wade who scored 61 and 45 respectively.

T20 Number 2 of the series

Then came the day when the second T20 was to be played the date was 23 September 2022 and the venue was Nagpur and the timing was supposed to be 7.00 pm but due to rain the field was wet so the match started late and the match was reduced to 8 overs per side in which bowlers can do a maximum of 2 overs each. In this match, India won the toss and put Australia to bat first to which the Australian team posted a total of 90 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in their allotted 8 overs. To which the response was very good from the Indian team and in the very first over India scored 20 runs approx. to Hazlewood and then chased down the target in 7.2 overs for the loss of 4 wickets in which captain Rohit Sharma was the star scoring 46 runs in 20 balls hitting 4 fours and 4 sixes each.

Third t20: India Vs Australia 2022

Then came the day when the decider of the three t20i series was played the venue chosen was Hyderabad and the time was 7.00 pm. The toss was won by India and they had put Australia into batting. Australia got off to a flying start as their opener Cameron Green smashed the ball all over the park and taking on India’s bowling and scoring a quick-fire 52 off just 21 deliveries. But when Green got out the run rate came down a bit but then came Tim David who scored 54 off 27 deliveries and took the score to 186/7 in their allotted 20 overs. Then India came out to bat and started poorly losing their openers cheaply KL Rahul scored 1 off 4 deliveries and Rohit Sharma scored 17 off 14 deliveries. There was a partnership between Virat Kohli and Suryakumar Yadav in which Kohli scored 63 off 48 deliveries and Suryakumar Yadav scored 69 off 36 deliveries and helped India clinch the series 2-1.
